Just curious

Not too long ago I went and poked around the net for tips on how to apply henna to nails to get an even, strong stain for both color (I like the orange) and to help strengthen my nails. I found a site that suggested, of all things, applying liquid latex to the nail once the henna had dried for about a half hour. They said it would remoisten the henna (and thus help make the stain stronger), but it would also protect the henna and keep it on the nail and to prevent it from smooshing onto the skin.

So I'm curious to know if any one has ever tried this before? Be it on nails or regular ol' tats.

Liquid latex is a great seal for henna, and does a lovely job of encouraging dark results, but is rarely used because of likelihood of allergic reaction.

oh ... also rarely used because it rips out all the teeny invisible hairs when you pull the latex off.
