Indigo on hair that has been bleached, then henna-ed

Hi there folks,

I used to do henna all the time but decided I wanted a change and bleached my hair and put in a semipermanent blue, which has now mostly washed out. I'm planning to strip the rest of the colour out and then apply henna like I normally would (I just do a straight lemon juice mix) to see what kind of red I get (my natural shade is a medium brown, so I get a nice auburn normally).

My main question is: If I'm not happy with the colour (yes, I'll strand test!), is it safe to use indigo on top to try and go to dark brown or black? I've read scary things about bleaching after indigo, but indigo after bleaching, with henna in between, is OK, right? I couldn't see anything clear about this online.

Any other tips are welcome! Thanks!

As long as it's Ancient

As long as it's Ancient Sunrise, yes! If it's not , I cannot say for sure. If it doesn't bind that well, you can always do a fresh henna/indigo mix for dark brown, or two step for black.
