henna on candles?

hello,

I wanted to try henna on candles but the problem is when its dry it falls of.

I put some hairspray on but it didnt work.

So i was wondering if somebody knows a way to let the henna stick on the candles.

I want to make some to give away as presents.

thanx sailor

I sealed the ones I made with 2-3 coats of  Mod Podge glue. I used a soft foam brush to apply it carefully. Let it dry fully between coats. Mine have not been burned, just for decoration. Good luck.

What kind of henna are you using?  If it's a stringy henna, it might be more 'spiky'.  You might try a less stringy henna like a jamila, and try to thin it down a bit so it flows more smoothly (just be careful not to make it so thin that it runs).
